JavaScript Ads & clutter facebook.com

Facebook: hide sponsored posts

Scans the feed for posts marked "Sponsored" and hides them, since the label uses an obfuscated class.

Code to copy

// Hide sponsored posts in the feed by matching their "Sponsored" marker
function hideSponsored() {
  const articles = document.querySelectorAll('[role="feed"] [role="article"]');
  articles.forEach(function (post) {
    if (post.dataset.jzSponsoredChecked) { return; }
    const links = post.querySelectorAll('a[role="link"], a span');
    let isAd = false;
    links.forEach(function (el) {
      const t = (el.textContent || '').trim();
      if (t === 'Sponsored' || t === 'Sponsorowane' || t === 'Gesponsert' ||
          t === 'Sponsorisé' || t === 'Sponsorizzato' || t === 'Publicidad' ||
          t === 'Реклама' || t === '赞助内容') {
        isAd = true;
      }
    });
    post.dataset.jzSponsoredChecked = '1';
    if (isAd) { post.style.display = 'none'; }
  });
}
hideSponsored();
const obs = new MutationObserver(hideSponsored);
obs.observe(document.body, { childList: true, subtree: true });
