Twitch: stop clips from autoplaying
Pauses videos on clip pages right after they open so you decide when to start playback yourself.
Code to copy
// Pause clip-page videos so they do not autoplay on open
function pauseClips() {
if (!location.pathname.includes('/clip/') && !location.hostname.includes('clips.')) {
return;
}
document.querySelectorAll('video').forEach(function (v) {
if (!v.dataset.jzPaused) {
v.dataset.jzPaused = '1';
v.autoplay = false;
v.pause();
}
});
}
pauseClips();
const obs = new MutationObserver(pauseClips);
obs.observe(document.documentElement, { childList: true, subtree: true });
