Stack Overflow: dim downvoted answers

Lowers the opacity and saturation of answers scored zero or below so good answers are easier to focus on.

Code to copy

/* Dim answers with a negative or zero score */
(function () {
  function dim() {
    document.querySelectorAll('.answer').forEach(function (a) {
      var el = a.querySelector('.js-vote-count');
      if (!el) return;
      var score = parseInt(el.getAttribute('data-value') || el.textContent, 10);
      if (!isNaN(score) && score <= 0) {
        a.style.opacity = '0.45';
        a.style.filter = 'grayscale(0.5)';
      }
    });
  }
  dim();
  var mo = new MutationObserver(dim);
  mo.observe(document.body, { childList: true, subtree: true });
})();
