Auto-focus the search box

After the page loads the cursor jumps straight into the search box so you can type right away.

Code to copy

var box = document.querySelector(
  'input[type="search"], input[name*="search" i], input[placeholder*="search" i], ' +
  'input[aria-label*="search" i], input[role="searchbox"]'
);
if (box && !box.disabled && box.offsetParent !== null) {
  try {
    box.focus({ preventScroll: true });
    box.select();
  } catch (e) {}
}
