The JustZix Dashboard: a home screen for the editing panel
The JustZix editing panel used to open straight onto the first folder in the list. In a recent version it greets you with a Dashboard instead — a single page where you immediately see what is in your library, how often you use it and what is worth doing next. This post walks through every tile and shows how the Dashboard shortens day-to-day work.
Two ways into the Dashboard
The Dashboard appears automatically when you open the editing panel. You can return to it two ways: click the JustZix logo in the sidebar, or the „home” icon on the breadcrumb bar of a folder, group or rule-set editor. However deep you drill into the rule tree, the way back to the overview is always one click away.
The Library tile
The first tile is an inventory: the number of folders, groups, rule sets, actions, action bars and on-page windows, plus how many sets carry CSS and how many carry JavaScript. One glance tells you how large your configuration is — handy once you have dozens of rules.
Usage statistics
Next to Library sits the Usage statistics tile with counters of real injections: how many times CSS hit a page, how many times JS ran and how many times an on-page window appeared. The counters add up across every paired device — more on that in a separate post about sync. Action clicks are reported separately.
Recently edited rule sets
One row down you get six recently changed rule sets, sorted by edit date. Clicking one opens it straight in the editor — you return to interrupted work without clicking through the whole folder tree.
Tip of the day
The Tip tile draws a piece of advice from a pool of 30 tips covering the extension's features — from the sidebar search, through folder tags and colours, to calling actions programmatically. „Previous” and „next” buttons let you browse the pool, and a link jumps straight to the built-in manual.
Recent examples and blog posts
Two tiles fed by justzix.com content show the newest ready-made examples from the catalog and the latest blog posts — in your interface language. The data refreshes every half hour; if the site is briefly unavailable the tiles simply disappear, so the Dashboard never looks broken.
Extension health
The last row is the health of your install: the installed version (with a note if a newer one is available), a storage usage bar and the date of the last cloud backup. The version is checked fresh on every visit to the Dashboard, so you will not miss an update.
Why it helps
The Dashboard turns „where do I even start” into „I see everything at once”. Inventory, usage metrics, recent work and learning material all sit in one place, grouped into fixed rows. That matters most when you have dozens of rules and come back to a project after a few days away.
Install JustZix and see the Dashboard the first time you open the panel — or browse the full feature list.
